Microsol, Ltd. and Automation Technologies & Services, LLC announced the formation of a new organization, which will provide comprehensive offerings of equipment and services for monitoring, control and asset-management of electric utilities and transit companies.
Samuel C. Sciacca, President of ATS, will also serve as CEO of the newly formed venture to be known as Microsol, Inc. Mr. Sciacca has over 25 years experience in the domestic and international electric-utility industries, primarily in SCADA, Automation Protection and Control.
"Integrating Microsol’s product line with the ATS business model will have an immediate impact on the North American utility market," said Mr. Sciacca. "Microsol, Inc. will be able to craft an offering of equipment and services tailored to each customer’s needs, vastly improving the concept-to-implementation time of SCADA and automation programs."
According to Denis O’Connor, CEO of Microsol Ltd., "Adding ATS's services to Microsol's technology will provide a clear migration strategy from legacy architecture to the integrated networks of tomorrow. This development is in line with the business model, which Microsol has applied successfully in other markets such as the UK. The blending of the two companies will offer the North American user community advanced products, systems and applications that will produce scaleable, flexible and cost effective solutions."
